On 2/2/08 I had the day off from work so I could take my annual company physical in the morning. My wife and I stopped in the local gun shop downtown in the afternoon and found the above weapon mis- priced at $489.95 new in the box. I put a Nikon Buckmaster 3x9x40 on it and I must say it is one hell of a weapon. I look forward to everything from Utah coyotes to African plains animals with this weapon. This is my second CZ. I was raised on Remington's but will only buy the CZ's from in the future. The only negative is the junk white metal scope rings that were included. I had to spring for some Leupolds. Very happy with the set up.

Went to a gun store in brownwood tx in 1998 and asked about a .270, gunsmith brings out a cz550 and tells me he will take $250 for it. Said it was an incredible gun but the name was having a hard time catching the public and the fact that it was currently being manufactured in the czeck republic didn''t impress. Figured what the heck if I don''t like it I''ll sell it. 12 years later it is still smokin giant whitetails, this gun is an absolute tack driver! I have a Nikon 3.5-10x50 on it and when the butt touches my shoulder something is going down! Absolutely the finest rifle I have ever shot, Weatherby is''nt even close, not bashing Weatherby just stating a fact. Love it-Love it-Love it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
