The CZ 527 carbine in 7.62x39 is a real fun gun to own and shoot. At 5.9 pounds it is light and handles well. The trigger was so-so but easily adjusted to great. The single set trigger is a gem. Fit and finish are really first rate. This little carbine is really well made. After installing a Leupold 2.5x8 scope accuracy with handloads averaged .6 for three groups. Sellier & Bellot 123 gr sp went 1.1 average for three groups. Cheap Russian Silver Bear averaged 1.7 for three groups. This is really great accuracy for an out of the box untuned rifle. After shooting a hundred rounds the action became butter smooth. My grandkids love this carbine and call her The Little Russian.
Order CZ''s rings as they do not come with the carbine. I would also suggest a couple of spare magazines. This has become my favorite rifle of all times. After all, shooting is about fun and this little carbine is fun!
