This is the 5th set of Warne aluminum rings I''''ve mounted scopes on my rifles. I haven''''t had any problems in the past, until I tried to install this pair and one of the three top srews stripped-out. However, since I''''m retired aircraft technician / quality inspector I repaired it using a helicoil and its now fine. Note: Warne should have installed helicoils in all their aluminum rings ]from the get go[. Installing steel screws into aluminum was never a good idea. On each of my 5 pairs of aluminum rings I never dared torquing any of the mounting screws to the Warne''''s recommended 25-pounds. Instead, using Warne''''s included screw wrench and using a tightening ]stagger pattern[, I only snug them down and have had no problems.

This Warne Tactical Ultra-High Height scope mount #A604M was tall enough that I didn''t need risers. Also, since they are made out of #6000 series aluminum they are really strong. In-addition, the lighter weight helped the overall weight of my AR-15 rifle assembly. Yes, I recommend these rings. Note: Just think about it, is there any reason to carry around any Real Heavy firearm assembly unless you just need more traction ha-ha).
