This knife/machete is obviously high quality. Sharp edge. Hefty spine. Nice handle. Sheath isn''''t bad. In an ideal survival situation,i''''d simply compliment it with a good pocket knife for fine work. Kabar outsourced the manufacture of this knife to a Taiwanese concern. Not a bad idea. The Taiwanese make fine martial arts swords.You can probably scrape the high quality 1085 high carbon steel blade to creat a campfire if need be. This knife/machete and a good pocket knife..You''''re set in the woods.
