A 2ND review to report a "Blue Ribbon" performance with my Patriot DW 1911 45acp! It fed perfectly 60-70 rds of hardball & hollow point ammo without a failure of any kind. I am very happy and carry my new (alway's) gun daily. Thanks DanWesson.

I have an earlier post on this gun, I absolutely love this gun! I have a series 70 colt that I like quite a bit also, but from an accuracy standpoint the colt does not compare with it. I cannot seem to get my grouping near as close to the DW. The DW is there with the big boy expensives ed brown, wilsons etc. For 950.00 in my opinion it is the best gun around at that price.

I had several jams on my first shooting session. After taking a part the pistol, I had noticed slight burrs on the mainframe end of the slide action. I was worried I would have to send it off for repairs. I decided to file them down myself and this seemed to correct the problem. I have now fired 500 rounds through it, with the last two hundred working absolutely perfect. I now feel confident with it. I am happier using chip mccormick clips. It had a few bugs to work out, I should not have had to do it in my opinion for the price paid, but was not that big of a deal. It is an extremely tight frame and figured it needed breaking in. That was the main reason I got it. After 500 rounds it almost feels perfect. I think I will be there in the next 100-200 rounds. All in all, I am happy with it, great feeling pistol to hold and shoot. It just needs to be broken in. I suppose in an dusty-dirt environment this may not have been my choice it is just so dog gone tight. Use a good thinner oil. But from a home protection, tightness, no rattle and accuracy point of view I really love it! Happy to have made it my decision.
